The Rochelle and Richard Maize Foundation is a highly respected fundraising team led by husband-and-wife philanthropists Rochelle and Richard Maize.

Among its generous efforts to enhance their own community, the Rochelle and Richard Maize Foundation generously supports the homeless children of Los Angeles County under the auspices of United in Harmony, an annual fundraiser that benefits more than 800 homeless youth.

Event proceeds help provide local youth with an opportunity to enjoy a safe, nurturing and inspirational overnight camping experience at United in Harmony’s Camp Harmony. “Supporting the homeless children and families in Los Angeles through United in Harmony is one of the most important programs to our foundation and family,” said Richard Maize, co-founder of the Rochelle and Richard Maize Foundation.

The Rochelle and Richard Maize Foundation has been instrumental in raising hundreds of thousands of dollars for its various charities and interests. Through Rochelle and Richard Maize’s recently established foundation, Rochelle and Richard Maize also support the Beverly Hills Police Officers Association in its mission to protect those who in turn protect and serve the Beverly Hills community with needed funds for education, health and retirement.

The Los Angeles Business Journal named Rochelle Maize among L.A.’s 2008 List of “Women Making a Difference.” As co-founder of the Rochelle and Richard Maize Foundation, Rochelle Maize spends countless hours supporting charities personally; through the Rochelle and Richard Maize Foundation; and in her work with Nourmand & Associates Realtors, partnering with each client to dedicate a portion of each sale to a charitable cause chosen by the client or to one of the many non-profit organizations the Richard and Rochelle Maize Foundation supports.

In 2007, actress Jamie Lee Curtis joined Rochelle and Richard Maize on behalf of the Rochelle and Richard Maize Foundation, for the third annual “Pink Party Benefits the Women’s Cancer Research Institute” at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. The gala raised funds for cancer research, awareness and potential cures. “Through our foundation, we are committed to giving to causes that directly benefit women with breast and gynecological cancers affecting more than 250,000 women each year,” said Richard Maize, co-founder of the Rochelle and Richard Maize Foundation and a Cedars-Sinai Board of Governors member.

Also in 2007, former chairman of Paramount Pictures Sherry Lansing personally thanked top-level sponsors Rochelle and Richard Maize for their generous support of the American Cancer Society. The Rochelle and Richard Maize Foundation was recognized at the ACS’s annual California Spirit XXIII gourmet garden party.

“We are pleased to be involved with the American Cancer Society in its essential mission to fight the battle against cancer,” said Richard Maize. “Rochelle and I believe that life’s most difficult challenges can be overcome with the help of others, and we are dedicated to contributing our time and resources to work towards finding a cure for this devastating disease,” Richard Maize added.

Whether an organization’s mission focuses on healthcare, education, youth and family services or art and culture, the Rochelle and Richard Maize Foundation believes that no cause is too small or insignificant if it fulfills an unmet need.

Along with their daughters Amanda and Ally, Rochelle and Richard Maize have also generously supported  the Archer School for Girls, Cedars-Sinai Board of Governors, Chabad of BelAir, The Concern Foundation, Hurricane Katrina, Kids for Share, Temple Emanuel Beverly Hills, The Jewish Federation, The United Jewish Fund, Vista Del Mar Child and Family Services and Youth, I.N.C.
